Inspired by ancient Scandinavian folklore, “Beware of the Nøkk” tells the story in music of the terrifying water creature that could change shapes to lure unsuspecting visitors into lakes and rivers. This ominous selection depicts the shapeshifting Nøkk as it appears at times as a beautiful woman or handsome man, or as a grotesque creature. Ever wonder why we are always told to never swim alone? “Beware of the Nøkk” tells you why!
