Jessica L. Mullen

Jessica Mullen grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and began playing guitar in the fourth grade. As a young guitarist, she joined her church choir where she met many wonderful musicians who inspired her to play and write down her musical ideas. Her middle school did not offer guitar, so she decided to play trumpet. She continued to write music in middle school and high school, and attended the National High School Music Institute where she studied composition. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Music from Eastern New Mexico University, and a Master of Music with emphasis in Wind Conducting from Kansas State University. She has taught high school concert band, marching band, jazz band, middle school band, beginning band, and general music in New Mexico and Texas.
