Composer Jessica Mullen draws from her southwestern roots with “Camino Iluminado,” a beautiful lyrical piece thoughtfully written for developing young bands. It presents a unique opportunity for budding musicians to experiment with their playing style and delve into the nuances of major and minor tonalities. The music is not only inspired by a traditional family holiday practice but can also be employed as a tribute to an individual in the community who inspires and guides others on their journey. This is excellent teaching material for second year or advanced first year band students. Inspiring!
