World War I was a prolific period of composition for the March King, during which he penned some of his finest marches. One such inspired march was “Naval Reserve,” composed by Lt. Cmdr. Sousa for his band at the Great Lakes Naval Training Station. “Blue Ridge, I’m Coming Back to You” is introduced as an optional band vocal at the trio. Stirring martial music!
