Festival Variations

Premiered at the 50th Anniversary of MENC (now NAfME) in San Antonio by the United States Air Force Band, who commissioned the piece, Festival Variations was met with immediate and overwhelming acclaim. With its brilliant technical passages and lush romanticism, this composition has been hailed as “one of the monumental compositions of the 20th century” by Colonel (Ret.) Arnald Gabriel, Commander/Conductor of the United States Air Force Band. While challenging, this extraordinary work has become a staple for top-tier bands around the world, regularly performed and revered for its power and elegance.
