Salsa Ye Merry

“Salsa Ye Merry” combines a traditional Cuban “montuno” (a syncopated rhythmic pattern with a decidedly Latin feel) with the classic Christmas carol “God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman.” Young jazz players will really get into this infectious groove. A four-measure solo section over easy changes presents the opportunity for young jazzers to learn to improv, with suggested solos included. An excellent change of pace tune for your young jazz ensemble’s holiday concert. Irresistible!
