March Britannia

“March Britannia” is a stately “pass-in-review” British-style march based on the English folk song, “Soldier, Soldier.” This new flexible instrumentation version of a young band standard relies primarily on two-part harmonization of the theme, supported by underlying chordal and rhythmic accompaniment. With modest ranges and limited technical demand, this piece provides an outstanding opportunity for master teaching. “March Britannia” works great for either concert or contest/festival performance.
