“Along The North Shore” (“Wahziyata Kahda” in Dakota) begins by painting a musical picture of a summer lake with boats, trees, sunshine, and lapping waters before taking us back in time to the lands and waters of the Dakota (Native Americans of the Midwest). “Along The North Shore” focuses on the percussion section (requiring a minimum of 8 players) while the melodic instruments add layers of intensity. Dramatic and evocative, the listener will hear the rhythms of “Wahziyata” before concluding with both themes (the then and now). Fresh, catchy, and interesting for students and audiences!
This publication is not yet in print. Please check back later this summer to purchase full sets and scores.
