Michael J. Davis

Michael Davis served as the Band and Orchestra director for Walt Disney Company Worldwide from 1979 through 2001. Prior to his tenure for The Walt Disney Company, he was the Director of Bands and Percussion Instructor at James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia. He also served as Band Director and Percussion Instructor at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater.

After retiring from the The Walt Disney Company, Mike served as the Executive Director of the St. Johns River City Band, a professional ensemble in Jacksonville, Florida. Under his leadership, the St. Johns River City Band gained national recognition including a performance at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, IL. Most recently, he was honored by the National Association for Music Education, receiving the prestigious Lowell Mason Fellowship Award.
