The Hindsley Transcriptions, Ltd.

The Hindsley Transcriptions, Ltd. Include many major orchestral works expertly transcribed for concert band by Mark H. Hindsley (1905-1999), former Director of Bands at the University of Illinois.  Included are compositions by Bach, Brahms, Dvorak, Moussorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Saint-Saens, Sousa, Strauss, Tschaikowsky, Wagner, Weber, and others.  In many cases, the only available band version of these works is the Hindsley transcription.

Norman Lee Publishing Co.

Founded in the 1970’s by composer Andy Clark, Norman Lee Publishing found great success initially with publications designed especially for very small and less-experienced marching bands, and later grew to add music for concert band, string orchestra, jazz ensemble, and a tremendously successful series of “Gig Books,” designed both for combo performance as well as learning improvisation.
